I grew up around Lansing, attended Okemos High school for freshman and sophomore year, then started The Early College (TEC) at Lansing Community College. TEC is a three year program that allowed me to obtain my high school diploma and my associates degree at the same time, effectively putting me a year ahead of my high school classmates (and saving me thousands in tuition).
Now I’m at Grand Valley State University. With a Writing Major and an Advertising and Public Relations Minor, I have the opportunity to vastly improve my writing skills, while also gaining experience with people and in public relations in general. What does this mean? It means I don’t have to be that stereotypical introverted writer who lacks adequate social skills.
I am ultimately hoping for any career where I can use my creativity. That is, my knack for words, my photography skills (see above picture), and my eye for designing marketing materials.
